The primary responsibilities of an ASID Faculty Advisor are to help students maintain an effective ASID student chapter and understand the mission and goals of the Society. Faculty advisors are encouraged to inform students of new ASID initiatives and programs, information on membership advancement, the NCIDQ exam and other resources to prepare each student chapter member for the road ahead. Likewise, advisors should provide guidance on how to set up a student chapter budget (in accordance with university regulations), conduct meetings, plan events, etc. Listed below are informative tools for current faculty members and individuals interested in becoming new advisors.
